A leading private equity firm specializing in software investments partnered with Agama to delve deeper into the current utilization and future potential of Gen AI across large enterprises in various industry verticals. This case study illuminates our collaborative approach to uncovering how companies are currently utilizing Gen AI, the pilot projects underway, and their future plans for the next 2 and 5 years.

Recognizing the importance of not missing any significant trends, we initiated the research process with a qualitative pre-survey of 50 IT buyers from mid-market and enterprise companies across all industries. Instead of multiple-choice questions, we solicited written responses to gather more nuanced insights. The feedback from this pre-survey was instrumental in crafting a comprehensive and targeted survey script. Throughout this process, we maintained a close cooperation with our client, iteratively refining the questionnaire to ensure all pertinent areas were covered.

Building on the insights from the pre-survey and in close collaboration with our client, we developed a structured survey targeting IT buyers from large enterprises across various industry verticals, with a focus on mid-market and enterprise companies. The survey was distributed to 300 IT organization experts, including CIOs, Chief Digital Officers, and their VPs or Directors.

Our client, a leading private equity firm, sought to understand the Gen AI impact on their software company portfolio. Consequently, the survey was meticulously designed to capture insights on current Gen AI applications, ongoing pilot projects, and future plans for the next 2 and 5 years.
